Art-residence Machaon invites artists interested in enamel technique to the I international Enamel
symposium “Nature – muse of inspiration”. Art-residence is located at the outskirts of the picturesque
village of Gánovce, well known for its healing mineral springs and paleontological finds, including a
petri fied brain of a Neanderthal man. The village is situated close to Slovak Paradise national park
famous for its unique and precious natural treasures: deep-cut river canyons, gorges with amazing
waterfalls, a huge underground world of caves and rich diversity of fauna and flora.

Timetable
June, 10-11 — arriving to Ganovce, excursion
June, 12 – excursion to national park Slovak Paradise
June, 13-20 – art-symposium accompanied by master-classes for other artists and interested public
to learn the enamel technique, outdoor outings to get inspiration in local nature and evening cultural
programme.
June, 21 — The vernissage of the art symposium during the jubilee conference of the national park
Slovak Paradise in the cultural center “Reduta”
June, 22 or 23 – departure
